This is shocking. Or is it?

"I am a Subway employee, the smell comes from the fresh baked bread. That is the only good thing I can say about it. Where the food comes from is absolutely a mystery. I've been doing research for weeks, trying to trace back the meat especially.....nothing.
If you don't have a problem eating processed meat and pesticide cove
red vegetables (they aren't washed very well), then Subway is the place for you. As an employee though, I would suggest not eating there."

Wow.
This is huge. For years I have been preaching the fact that Subway meat is a complete mystery.....who knows if it's even meat? The vegetables sound equally repulsive.
Now finally we know the truth: even the employees don't know where it comes from. Sure Subway has great smelling bread and pretty decent cookies....but one thing is for sure: I won't be coming within 5 feet of their meat again. Even if it is $5.
Thoughts please....

Do you know where the meat comes from at Publix? NO!
Do you know where the vegetables come from at Publix? NO!
Have you seen what the meat looks like at Publix? The meat comes in a ball just like at Subway. The meat also comes out of a plastic bag just like at Subway.
Using some commonsense here, you would note the similarities of Publix and Subway.
Anonymous 2:
I'm sorry your upset by the realization that Subway's meat truly is mysteriously disgusting however the fact of the matter is - you obviously don't eat at Publix on a regular basis.
Subway meat is sitting in black little containers and I've seen them replace it by taking a seal off of a new package and putting it in the container.
Publix serves Boar's Head brand meat and they slice it in store every day - if you ask for a special kind they'll even slice it right in front of you for your sub.
So yes after using commonsense I would conclude that Subway and Publix have no similarities at all.
I agree with Dan Holm completely. 500 percent.
Does it really matter where it comes from...cause no one ever eats anything processed...
Dan before writing a post about mystery meat, why don't you get your facts straight? Straight up poor reporting on your part! Lets see when is the last time that you have eat a huge chunk of roast beef from publix, hm probably 1/2 past never because they have to use mechanical means to tenderize their meat (cutting it into thin slices).
Mystery? West Liberty Foods in Iowa.

"....as of 2006, was Subway's largest supplier of sliced sandwich meat,"
"As a result of servicing national customers, the company is inspected more than other food manufacturers."
Have you ever heard of Google?
Honestly, you people make me sick. It's so easy to complain, gripe, and critize, but what have you done to contribute to society? I like subway. I like the fact that they have streamlined their process to offer a sandwich at a price I think is fair.
Beijing Phil, you are a fucking moron. So are most of the rest of you.
tastes awesome though lol
idiots its right here this is where the meat comes 4rm and i believe its been supplying subway since 2001 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Liberty_Foods
